Honors Program Extracurricular Activities

HONORS COLLOQUIUM

Each Spring Honors students present their research in a simulated academic conference setting to Administration, Faculty, classmates, friends, and family. The Honors Colloquium is always one of the highlight events of the year.

VERITAS

An Interdisciplinary Honors Journal of the Honors Club of NCC.

HONORS CLUB

The club organizes a wide variety of activities for students in the program and sends representatives to sit on the Honors Committee, the policy making body of the program.

TRIPS AND SPEAKERS

Each year, Honors students take part in visiting a place of interest determined by the Honors Club. A typical visit might include a Broadway play. In addition, the Honors Club sponsors a topical speaker for the College community.

ACADEMIC CONFERENCE

Honors students can attend the Northeast Region of the National Collegiate Honors Council (NRHC) Conference and make a presentation at this event. Presentations are based on a topic of interest to Honors faculty and students. The theme of the conference varies each year.

HONORS & AWARDS NIGHT

All students who complete at least 12 credits in Honors Courses are recognized at a special ceremony each May. Students are presented with certificates, official recognition on their transcripts, and a medallion to wear to graduation.
