First, complete the application process. After you are officially admitted, plan to speak with an academic advisor to make sure you're taking the correct courses for your program of study. Consulting with an academic advisor is important to keep you on track especially if you receive financial aid, since courses that are not required in your program are not covered by financial aid.
Once new students are eligible to register for classes, you will be sent advisement and registration information to the email address you provided on your application and to your NCC Student Email account.
The start date for registration for an upcoming semester will be posted on the Registrar's Website. There is no priority registration, all continuing students may register for classes on the announced starting date and time. Speak to an Academic Advisor or Faculty Advisor as needed or log in to MyNCC and run a Degree Evaluation online to make sure you are on track.
You should seek approval of your second degree or certificate prior to registration to make sure you meet the criteria. Please note that the ability to enroll in some courses require you to be admitted into the program.
Non-Degree students are not required to meet with an academic advisor, and you are able to register yourself online for courses that do not require prerequisites. If the course has prerequisites you will need to contact the academic department for a possible prerequisite waiver. The academic department may request to see your academic record noting courses and grades earned elsewhere to determine whether or not you meet the prerequisites.
You may register online for courses with no prerequisites or if you have submitted to the Office of the Registrar your Home Institution Approval verifying prerequisites.
