Dr. Lynnda M. Nadien

Image of Lynda NaidenDr. Lynnda nadien proudly serves as the parliamentarian of the nassau community college alumni association.

 Dr. Nadien is a compassionate leader and served as a director of the nassau community college alumni association, on the advisory board for suny old westbury and most recently was inducted into the national society of leadership and success through st. John’s university where she earned her doctoral degree in leadership and accountability in 2009.

Dr. Nadien is the host of ‘liontales’ at 90.3 whpc, nassau community college radio and serves as a community volunteer. She is also a volunteer for the st. Martin of tours religious education program.

Dr. Nadien is a retired elementary school principal, a certified elementary school teacher and reading specialist. Additionally, she is a reading recovery certified teacher through new york university. Her accomplishments are vast and include outstanding educator of the year in 2016, a march of dimes golden apple recipient in 2014 and outstanding administrator sage college character education award 2018.

Dr. Nadien has worked diligently as a board of education trustee and most recently as school board president for plainedge schools. She promoted programs to enable each child to meet with success academically, socially and emotionally. She believes in providing support, access, resources and technology to foster positive learning outcomes for all children at all grade levels. This includes the transition to higher education.

Dr. Nadien loves reading music and has been a ‘beatlemaniac’ and beatles collector for most of her life. She loves learning to play instruments and sharing her love of music and poetry with others. Dr. Nadien loves books and book stores and most especially record stores! She is an avid writer and loves daily journaling.

Dr. Nadien has lived in bethpage for more than 20 years. She is married to andrew, a music educator and professional musician. Together, they have a son, james paul, a graduate of the new england conservatory of music, class of 2022, boston massachusetts, and now a professional musician in new york city.

Dr. Nadien has made service her signature and takes incredible pride in working for the alumni association of nassau community college.
