Jay Goldfarb graduated from Nassau Community College in 1970 with an associate’s degree in business administration followed by a B.S. degree from Adelphi University in 1972.
He started his career both in public and private accounting. After completing a civil service exam, he joined the Nassau County comptroller’s office. He then transferred to NCC where he joined the Foundation office as a full-time accountant.
Jay has been on the executive board of the Alumni Association as treasurer since 2005. He retired from NCC in 2018 but still volunteers his time as the Association’s treasurer and assists with many alumni functions.
Jay’s hobbies are officiating softball, officiating meets for girl’s track and field competitions, social dancing, and playing golf. He also enjoys spending time with his two beautiful granddaughters.
“I will always be grateful for the education I received at Nassau Community College and the time spent working at NCC,” Jay said.
