    • We want to see your passion, authenticity, and potential. Please prepare 1 minute (32 bars approximately) of a musical theatre or pop song

For the Africana Performance Ensemble’s Spring Production:
From Okra to Greens

Audition Date:
Tuesday, March 11th, 4:00pm - 6:00pm and Wednesday, March 12, 4:00pm - 6:00pm

  • By the award-winning playwright of “for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf”, Ntozoke Shange
  • Looking to cast an ensemble of 8-10 performers. Welcoming all talents of the arts including: acting, dancing, music, storytelling, vocal performance, literary arts, and design.
    • Auditionees should prepare a 1min-90sec presentation representing your best self: music, dance, poetry, dramatic monologue, portfolio, etc. Can be self-written or selected published work.
  • **Interested Students are only required to attend one day and will be seen on a first come, first seen basis.
  • **For those auditioning for more than one spring productions, please contact the Directors to schedule audition.
