LEED® Green Associate Exam Prep
This course introduces the process of additive manufacturing utilizing 3D printing and presents an overview of the technologies and the advantages over traditional manufacturing methods. Students will explore design procedures, material properties and modeling using CAD tools, specifically Autodesk Inventor. A sample product will be analyzed and a prototype modification will be modeled and printed on a Makerbot Replicator. Students will become familiar with the set-up and operation of the machine and be challenged to create a design submission and printing before the final class.
3D Printing/Classroom Integration
A course designed for those with no AutoCAD experience. This seminar is designed to acquaint the beginner with AutoCAD as a tool to create working drawings. Topics will include the following: the AutoCAD menu structure, file creation, formatting, using object snaps, draw commands including lines, arcs, rectangle, polygons, and hatching. Modifying commands. Creation of blocks and templates, use of symbol libraries, concepts of model space and paper space are explored, as well as plotting drawings.
