Any person who has been engaged in active military duty in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard OR A member of the National Guard or Reserves called to active duty for purposes other than training OR A cadet or midshipman at one of the service academies AND were released under a condition other than dishonorable discharge.
While technically not veterans, are entitled to many benefits.
Several educational benefit programs, as well as the services of Office of Military and Veteran Affairs, are available to the spouses or children of deceased or disabled veterans.
