Surprise! Right in the middle of Long Island’s Nassau County. Beautiful. Green. Open. Accessible. An unexpected urban oasis, NCC’s campus houses 47 buildings on 225 acres, which makes us the largest single-campus community college in New York State.
Next door? Plenty of shopping, with two major malls — including Roosevelt Field — nearby, lots of great eateries, from casual to fancy, and major sports facilities. Our other neighbors include the Cradle of Aviation Museum and historic Mitchel Field.
Look beyond our tree-lined streets, grassy quadrangle, and semicircle of picturesque homes that now serve as classrooms and offices. Discover our state-of-the-art classrooms and labs, top-notch presentation and performing spaces and outstanding athletic facilities, including the indoor George B. Costigan Physical Education Complex and the outdoor Mitchel Park Athletic Complex.
The multilevel Plaza — with a fountain and waterfall pool, grassy, stepped seating area and lots of open space — anchors our 12-story triangular Administrative Tower. Other buildings include the A. Holly Patterson Library, two academic wings and refurbished former military buildings now used for classrooms and offices.
The Student Center offers study lounges, conference rooms, offices for student activities and student government, student newspaper workspaces and a multipurpose room for banquets, dances, film and video presentations, theatrical productions and large meetings. The Social Science and Visual Arts building houses 37 classrooms, two high-tech lecture halls and cutting-edge artist studios.
Conveniently located on campus and supervised by expert staff, the Children’s Greenhouse childcare center provides safe, fun and educational experiences for families of NCC students, faculty and staff.
Our up-to-date classrooms and labs offer the latest equipment for exceptional instruction in health sciences, engineering technologies, marketing and business, computer technology, liberal and fine arts, mathematics, digital communication technology, natural and social sciences and the performing arts. You’ll find Academic Computing Centers and Learning/Help Centers located in department spaces across campus.
Near the Endo Boulevard entrance to campus, NCC’s two-story North Annex opened in 2009 with a computer lab, student learning center/lounge, and classroom spaces outfitted with smart boards and natural lighting.
Indoors or out, NCC’s campus offers a wide range of exceptional facilities designed to accommodate educational, recreational, conference and community activities. If your organization or group seeks a convenient location with functional and adaptable spaces, NCC has what you need.
