Society of Women Engineers

The Society of Women Engineers is a national organization whose mission is to encourage women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders; to expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life; and to demonstrate the value of diversity.

Engineering Society

One of the oldest organizations on campus, their goal is to introduce students to the diversity of branches within the engineering field and to give engineering students ideas about the kinds of four-year institutions that they should choose when transferring.

Concrete Canoe Club

The Concrete Canoe Racing team is comprised of students and faculty who design, build, and race concrete and steel canoes. The project began to demonstrate Archimedes' Principles to civil engineering students, and has expanded to include students from across the disciplines. During the semester, the club constructs the canoe, then travels to participating colleges to compete in the races.

We offer a wide array of academic and merit-based scholarships, 7 of which are specific to the Engineering/Physics/Technology department.
