Admission and Transfer Options

Admission Requirements:

Freshmen

One-year chemistry with laboratory; and completion of pre-calculus with grade of at least C- or placed at MAT111 by NCC placement test.

Transfers

If the high school chemistry requirement was not met, completion of one- semester of college chemistry with laboratory (equivalent to NCC’s CHE 107), with grade of C- or above; and completion of pre-calculus with grade of at least C- or placed at MAT111 by NCC placement test.

Note: for all applicants, placement in remediation will remove an applicant from
consideration.

Transfer Options:

• One-semester majors-level chemistry (with laboratory) and one-semester college pre- calculus equivalent to CHE151 and MAT 111; OR
• Two-semester majors-level chemistry (with laboratory) and one-semester college pre- calculus equivalent to CHE151/CHE152 and MAT 111.

Note: For transfer applicants, any other course equivalency and credit transfer can be reviewed upon request.
