The mission of the NCC Office of Financial Aid is to ensure that students have access to a college education by educating students and parents about federal, state, institutional and private aid opportunities, and helping them obtain all the financial resources for which they are eligible. Our goal is to allow students to focus on their academic success by removing financial barriers. We are committed to providing service to all individuals, regardless of background, culture or lifestyle.
We endeavor to help incoming students make a successful transition to college by guiding them through the application process and providing the means for them to increase their financial literacy. In addition, we promote the college's retention efforts by providing on-going assistance to our continuing students to help them achieve their academic goals.
We adhere to all Federal, State and Institutional guidelines to ensure that available funds are distributed equitably to all eligible students, recognizing that the primary purpose of student aid is to provide financial resources to students who would otherwise be unable to pursue post-secondary education.
As you may be aware, the Federal Government is in the process of making many modifications to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) for the 24-25 academic year. This is being done to streamline the process and make the form easier to complete for applicants and their families. In addition, changes to the eligibility formula are expected to result in increased grant funding to more students. The form is now available for completion, and we encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience, Nassau’s school code is 002873.
A notification email will be sent when your FAFSA is loaded into our system. We will then be working on processing FAFSA data from the US Department of Education. We expect award notifications for 2024-25 to be sent out by mid-June.
