I was hired in the Fall of 2019 to teach history and to help strengthen Latin American Studies at Nassau Community College. Among the courses I teach are Colonial Latin American History, History of Mexico and Central America, and Western Civilization. I am also Coordinator of the Latin American Studies Project and Chair of the International Education Committee of the Academic Senate. My fondest memory of my time at the College so far is the day I was hired.

My department gave me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams as a Latin American historian and to contribute to our students' success by working towards becoming a Hispanic Serving Institution. I am also honored to be the faculty advisor to the Student Organization of Latinos(as). The multicultural nature of our student body makes us an ideal place to foster respect and grants us the opportunity to work towards the fulfillment of all our students' potential. This environment makes teaching, advocating, and engaging, particularly our minority students, our highest priority.

I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
