I started at NCC as a student in 1987 and loved it from day one! I could not wait
to come back, and I got my lucky break in 1998 when I was hired as an adjunct faculty
member teaching ASL (American Sign Language) classes in the evening. Our ASL program
became so popular and in 2000 I was hired full time.
NCC holds a very special place in my heart. I met my husband here, my three daughters
went to the Children's Greenhouse (still their favorite place), my oldest daughter
graduated from NCC and played on the women's volleyball team and now my middle daughter
is an incoming Freshman, and she plays on the volleyball team. I am a proud NCC graduate,
employee and parent. Go Lions!!!

I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
